Detroit Senior Pictures // Rachel Class of 2020 // chelsie maurer photography

Remember earlier this summer when it would randomly rain for just a short time almost every day?! So do all of us senior and family photographers! Planning photo sessions around the ever changing weather is stressful. Rachel was a trooper, while right at the start of her session, it sprinkled, and then it was a solid rain. Oy. We waited it out 15-20 minutes, watched the clouds, watched the radar, and then BOOM! It turned into a glorious evening for a session. And we did all the things to make up for that 20 or so minutes of rain.

Rachel is the sweetest soul, I swear. Easy to work with, gorgeous to photograph, and a heart of gold. She wanted some good variety with her session: a little nature, a little beach, and a little Detroit. I think it was the perfect combination for senior pictures, don’t you? Check it out below.
